ICT Tier2 Dependent to General

Dear Friends,

I am currently in UK on a long term Tier 2 Dependent (2 years) and working with an IT company. The visa expires in 2016
Please advise the fastest and surest route to settlement in UK.

Options that I can think of and need advise upon are as below -

1) Should I look for a sponsor that can sponsor me a Tier 2 general.

• If yes then will I have to go back to India for filing the same.
  Will the cooling period still apply in case of Tier 2 Dependent to Tier 2 General transfer

2) Should I undergo some MBA course, switch to Tier 4 and then look for a job.

Objective is to settle in UK - Please advise if there are any other route available for this purpose.

When were you granted the Tier 2 Dependant leave?
When will the main Tier 2 holder be eligible for ILR?

If the Tier 2 (ICT) holder is never going to be eligible for ILR, then you may apply for Tier 2 (General) from your home country. You cannot switch in the UK.

Tier 2 Dependent granted in Dec 2013 for 2 years.

Main Tier 2 holder is was granted the ICT long term in Dec 2013 only.
