Visitor visa for Mother and Father in Law

Post by shiju31 » Fri Mar 14, 2014 1:57 pm

Hi all,

I am in a catch 22 situation here and hopefully one of you experts out there would come up with your best advise.

I am on Tier 1 General Visa and planning to apply for my ILR next week on a 90 days rule. My expiry is end of May'2014. I have collected all relavant documents and set to go for booking the appointment someday around next week.

However since my wife is pregnant, I am also arranging to apply my Father and Mother In Law Visitor Visa next week.

Catch 22 is that say if I will be applying for ILR first on premium appointment and got approved my ILR which changes my status from Tier 1 to ILR and since my Visitor Visa which also I will be applying next week but got submitted before my ILR approval and since all the relavant sponsorship documents was on the basis of Tier 1 General documents checklist, will that be a case to worry for me as my status gets changed when case worker reviews it?

I understand the status will be considered as on the date of application and sponsor is just an evidence of support if needed which should not be a concern case for rejection, however just an expert opinion is much appreciated :). Thanks for your help.

Hi ,
You are correct.
I really did not get the point whether you have applied visitor visa for your father and mother in law.
if not, I suggest you get your ILR and then apply for their family visitor visa.
It has some advantage then normal visitor visa.
Please update BC timeline in google docs https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... li=1#gid=0

I am another user just like you.....!!

What are the advantages of a family visa over visitor visa?
