Overstayer Question

If you have an outstanding application in the Home Office for almost 5 years.

Been in the UK almost 11yrs

At the first stage an acknowledgement letter was sent stating that the application was valid and cannot be decided on initial cosnideration and therefore being passed to further team for more detailed consideration. Was also stated it would have been dealt with by early 2004(Their standard ackowledgement letter)

If they've sent you this letter as they would I suppose for people who arent Overstayers.

Why then cant you work seeing you have a NINO?

Not being funny, yes absolutely wrong for o'staying but how do they expect you to live? No work?
Who is so generous in the Uk to feed someone and provide a place for them to live for all this time and for them not to work?

What was the application based on? Why has it taken so long?

I don't get it much - were you an overstayer when you submitted your application (for special consideration), or do you think you are an overstayer due to the long wait you have experienced?

Why do you assume you cannot work (and, also, what are you doing now)?

I was an overstayer and an application was made for FLR (O) on compasionate basis. It was a strong case with compelling evidence.


But they have all my documentation. Its funny at the time when the solicitor made the application, I sent them my wage slips hence they know perfectly well that I am working.

However I was told I have to wait until they reach a decision. Now I havent got a job and how long can I wait for. I am presently unemployed.

Not only that I have 1 more year left to finish my studies until i get my degree.

So what exactly is your concern? If you were told to wait, then you have to sit tight and wait. If you want to chase a decision, you can make a request for your case to be given a priority. You can still work while you are allowed to remain here waiting for a decision - why are you unemployed?
At least you have the opportunity to complete your studies and get a degree. Go for it.

Can you explain what you're both on about? I guess I should refrain from colloquial stuff if people do not understand. You've never heard of the phrase "gone potty" ( http://www.answers.com/potty&r=67 point 3) ? So what info was too much?

I'm asking whether the OP has two accounts because someone called "chris07" posted then deleted their post, then the same post came up again. So - if it is the same person, then I was thinking of re-reading the other poster's threads (and wonder why they had to create two identities). And it seemed I was the only person who noticied this post and was a bit confused about it.
