Tier 2(General) - English Language Requirement

Hi,

I am planning to apply for Tier 2 (General) visa. I am all set with all the document. Only problem is English requirement. I have taken PTE Academic English language test and scored 51( which falls in level B1).

Now the hiccup is the PBS calculator does not list PTE Academic (A2 and B1) level whereas the PDF on the ukba homesite(http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... estst2.pdf (Page 11 for PTE Academic).) considers A2 and B1 level for tier 2 general.

Perason group has written a mail to me that it is acceptable to HOME OFFICE without any problem in past. Still i am in fear because i do not want to loose my visa only due to this.

Anyone who has got visa based on this test.

Your help on this is much appreciated. Hurry!!

I can confirm that a Pearson Test of English Academic score of 51 (B1) is acceptable for a tier 2 General application.

Just make sure you have asssigned your score to the UK Border Agency through the Pearson score reporting website and that you have printed a copy of your score report and included it in you application!

I am a doctor and iv applied for tier 2 general visa.for satisfying English requirement is it enough
A statement of comparability from UK NARIC and English language assessment letter by my institute that degree was taught in English??
