Business Visa and Tier 2 Visa

I live outside UK and hold UK Business Visa which is valid until July 08, 2014.
I have a prospective employer in UK willing to sponsor for a Tier2 Visa.
Since I do not have the offer from UK employer yet, I am under the role of my present employer and they want me to visit UK for Business reasons during April and May.
I might have to apply for Tier 2 visa before that.
Can I travel to UK in Business Visa even if I hold a Tier2 Visa for future date (Say after July 08)?
Do I have to cancel my Business Visa in order to apply for Tier 2 Visa?
