Currently, I am on a tier 4 visa which expires on April 30,2014. I applied for TIER 2 (general) visa on Feb 23, but got a refusal on March 27,2014. The refusal letter stated that I was not awarded any points for the sponsorship because the occupation was not listen under NQF level 6. However, I was awarded full points on all the other sections (relevant salary, English language requirement and funds) . The COS that was issued by the employer listed my job under the category of 3131 (IT operations technicians) - System Administrator, NQF level 4. I have spoken with my employer and they have accepted the fact that they made a mistake and are willing to issue a new COS with Job Type: 2139 (IT professionals not listed elsewhere) and NQF level 6. I have couple of questions :
[1] Since, my previous job title was system administrator, will the change in job title have any impact on the application ? Also, the salary rates for new Job type is - New entrant: £20,300* and Experienced: £28,400. Will my current salary of 25k per year be enough to secure points under relevant salary for me?
[2] Also is it a good idea to to ask the employer to write a letter on my behalf explaining the situation and enclose my previous refusal in the new application ?
[3] Is there any other areas that I have missed and should be careful about ?
The situation is really stressful for me and any advice would be greatly appreciated. Please help.
