Switching from Tier 2 ICT Dependent to Tier 2 General

Post by jasmyj » Tue Mar 25, 2014 7:24 pm

Hi,

I am currently in Tier 2 ICT Long Term Staff Partner Visa, issued after April 2011. I am planning to switch to Tier 2 General. I found that I cannot switch within the UK. But If anyone can answer my questions, it would be great.

1. Is it possible for me to apply for Tier 2 General if my current Employer is ready to give a CoS?
2. Is there any category called 'Tier 2 General Restricted' or is the 'CoS Restricted' in my case?
3. If CoS is restricted, what are the pre-requisite for an A rated Company to create a CoS for me?
4. Is it required for the Company to first get the permission from UK Boarder Agency to allow creation of Cos?

Thanks in advance.

All need is a restricted cos for tier 2 general aftr RLMT has been done or exempt if your job is on shortage occupation.
Don't worry, your A rated sponsor should know how to issue restricted cos.
When issued, go back to your home country and apply for tier 2 general.
