T2G - Resigned from job - How much time do I have?

I have read the previous post regarding the T2G leave curtailment but they do not answer the query that I have so please bare with me.

Facts:
----------
When my T2G visa was granted: 13/04/2013
My last day at current employment: 31/03/2014
I understand that I need to send back my BRP latest by: 28/04/2014 (28 days)

What I would like to know is how many days do I have after that to stay in the UK?
Will UKBA send me a letter letting me know how many days I can stay in the country after I have sent back my BRP?.
Has anybody been in a similar situation before?

Any advice is welcome, Thanks in advance.

Hello

I was in the same situation back in 2011. My employer dissolved the company without telling me and told just before I leave the country for my mom's medical treatment. They told me to cancel the trip and they will reapply with different company.

I dig around and everyone told me that I need to leave within 28 days or 60 days as it stated on UKBA website. They told me that I cannot come back with same visa and I will be stopped at the airport.

So, I left in Jan and did not come back. I received a letter in Apirl from UKBA that my visa will expire in August and asked me to return the BRP. By that time, I was already back in my country.

I would suggest that you can wait until UKBA send you a letter stating when the visa will be expired. Your current employer should inform UKBA of the changes in your employment.

Hi Mate,

Sorry to hear about your story, its very unfair what your employer did.

Its a general feeling I have, that employers don't care what happens to immigrant employees like us, even though they need our skills. T2G causes a lot of employer dependence which is really frustrating.

Most of the times I think its not even worth the trouble. Anyway yours is the only response I got so far so any information I get is helpful.
