Maintenance letter for dependent

Post by seeker1 » Wed Mar 26, 2014 11:30 am

Hi All,
I am new to this forum. So pardon me if my question is trivial. I have been offered a job in the UK and I have got the Cos. My employer has marked fund maintenance in CoS as Yes. Me and my dependent will be applying for visa next week.
My question is will that cover my dependent as well or do i need a letter from employer for dependent as a supporting document for visa application?

Any advice/information on this is much appreciated.

Thanks :)

Cos is about you not your family. A separate maintenance for your wife is required, otherwise don't take chances and provide your own maintenance for your wife if sponsor is not willing to.

Hi Apam,

Thanks for your reply, that's what I thought. But my employer's solicitor said if main applicant and dependent apply at the same time letter is not required for dependent :(

I will ask them again.

Thanks for your help!

You are always better of providing more documents (no harm) than less which would cost you more money and time should your application be refused!

I totally agree with you. I asked them to give me letter and my employer has agreed. Now I am just waiting to receive it.
