German citizen wants to immigrate to uk with indian husband

Hi guys;
My indian fiance and me will get married soon..due to language problems we like to settle in Uk.
I don't what kind of Visa he will require.
I lived in Uk for the past one year while i was doing my degree in manchester. But as Eu student i wasn't registered as residant.
Now in september we will get married. I thought we could go together back to Uk after one month. Is that possible?
How long will it take to get the right visa?
Do i have to apply for residence?
I hope anybody can help me because i have no clue about this all!

German: You need to read up on EEA Family permits (as they are known in the UK) which allows an EU/EEA citizen to move to the UK with their spouse or long-standing partner. They are also FREE!
