Urgent Help Required- Tier 2 ICT to General

Hi,

I am currently in London having Tier 2 ICT Short Term visa applied on October 2013 and getting expired on October 2014. A rated organization is ready to provide sponsorship now but I would like to know If I need to serve any cooling period if I am applying Tier 2 General visa from outside the UK.

I have seen rules but they seems to be pointing out that you can not apply within the UK. Anyone can confirm on this.

If your tier2 is awarded post 2011 then you cannot switch to tier 2 general and moreover you are on tier2 ict short term, so post ur current visa expiry, you wil need to go back. If u want to work in uk again and avoid cooling off period then u can apply again from ur country with tier 2 ict long term visa provided ur salary is more than 40600 pa
