Surinder Singh Route Is It Too Late?

I got married to my husband December 2012. We applied for spouse visa from India 7th January 2013 and was refused in March 2013.
Appealed and had my court hearing was in February 2014.
Its been Its been 1 year and 4 months and im still waiting to find out the Judges decision if i won the appeal in February.
Im going crazy.

Looking online at the surinder singh i am wondering if it will be easier to do it this way.
I know the new rules have been introduced this year regarding this route but im not understanding it properly.

If i moved to Ireland can my husband join me straight away?
My husband was an over stayer in the UK previously but voluntarily left in 2012 will this affect him coming to Ireland?
How long do we have to stay in Ireland before he can travel to the Uk? Whats the minimum?
Can my husband work in Ireland if i dont or can we both work or does it just have to be me working?
Once we travel to the Uk do we have to go back to Ireland?

1. Yes
2. He has to declare it if asked but it should not be ground for refusal in itself.
3. That's tricky. Every case is different. I think 6-12 months minimum is realistic but I know of a UK/US couple who have been refused after one year in France. I heard that Ireland is slow in issuing the residence card, taking up to 6 months. Just something to be aware of.
4. You can both work but your job is the important one for exercising EU treaty rights!
5. If he travels to the UK on an EEA family permit you don't have to return to Ireland.

You have to now prove you have established a life in that country now and integrated into the community, not jusa couple of months working. So yeah I would say to convince immigration you're looking at least 12 months.
