Hey everyone! I'm new here and need urgent advise, please.
I am currently living in the UK on a Limited Leave to Remain (Civil Partner) visa (issued May 2013). However, two weeks ago, I lost my passport with my visa in it!
I have now gone to my embassy (Philippines) to apply for a new passport. However, I was wondering whether I could apply for a TOC (to get my visa transferred to my BRP) as well WITHOUT a passport.
If I understand correctly, according to the TOC form (https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... ormtoc.pdf), I can submit a TOC application WITHOUT a passport (if it's lost or stolen) by submitting a police report + documents to prove my identity instead.
According to the TOC Guidance as per 21 February 2014 (https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... 0.0EXT.pdf), TOC applicants who do not submit "previous passport" may be granted TOC if they submit police report as well.
So, can anyone confirm/give advice on this? Should I apply for a TOC WITHOUT including my passport and just including a cover letter + police report + identity documents?
Your help would be very much appreciated! Thanks
