Absences from UK - One question

Post by lemony » Tue Apr 08, 2014 3:28 pm

Hello,
Being on Tier 1 Gen, does one mandatorily needs to letters from employers giving a list of authorised UK absences (for annual leaves or Business Trip) even though the total absence do not exceed 180 days?

What should be done if a previous company doesnt respond to my request to provide this letter to me?

Thanks.

I just mentioned the dates and reason for my absences (e.g annual leave or weekend trip) in the application form. I never asked my employer for any letter and wasn't asked for proof by the home office.

When did you apply ?

Did you have the same form as you can see here: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... -final.pdf
