Dear all,
I am a non EEA national and going to have an interview for notice of getting married to my Norwegian national fiancee.(She is not a UK resident though, and living with her family in canada, and i have read it that,in this case she has to live in Uk for at least 9 days in order to be able to attend the interview for notice. which is fine because our interview date is after 9 days of her arrival).
We got engaged last year but she went to Canada where she stays with her family. As now we have decided to get married and so i have booked the interview date.
Now in terms of proof of address: i have my bank statements, and for hers i am a bit confused. I rang the registration office and they said as i am living with my brother, so he can write a letter stating my fiancees date of arrival, along with a utility bill.
After a while i called them again to double check and this time another operator picked up and she said only the landlord can write such letter.
My brother pays council tax for this property since he is tenant and he pays utility bills as welll. i am so confused about it now and dont know what to do.
please guide me about it, i will appriciate it a lot.
