How to: Naturalise / Naturalisation: Language Requirement

I have a few questions about the Language Requirement

1. Life in the UK Test
(This should already be present if granted an Indefinite Leave to Remain

2. Knowledge of English Language (English B1 CEFR or Higher)
Can some one advice what would be the cheapest and easiest option to obtain & satisfy this requirement
(I was thinking an IELTS (General or Academic) but this costs £150.00

Can someone recommend an alternative, and one that doesn't take too much time

NOTE: I hear the Trinity College offers good value, but is it distance learning or distance learning and test?
