Spouses Dependent Maintenance Funds

Quick question:

My spouse is named on her parents' IRA savings account, which has plenty to meet the min threshold for maintenance funds. However, in our bank account we are going to struggle to cut it close in time for us to leave.

I want to know if she could prove her maintenance funds by being named on her parent's savings account? Might be a long shot but it is worth trying.
