Any restriction on start date of Certificate of Sponsorship?

Hi,

I am going to submit premier visa application in person this Wed for Tier 2 General Change of Employment. I wonder what date is the earliest to be put on the Certificate of Sponsorship as start date? Am I allowed to put same day Wed or this Thurs? Thanks.
