There is no need to contact them at this point, may be in a couple of weeks if the situation doesn't change. They don't have a hard and fast rule on the number of days after they take the fee. Another member on this forum had his application received the same day as mine but his fee cleared 2 days before me, so chill out...if there is a problem with fee, they will contact you. Remember, they are even more eager to take the money as you are to pay them...

@Marie1981 : I submitted the application on the 4th of April but i was asked to pay 906£ as the date on which the home office receive the application is what counts

Quite right, its the date when the UKVI receive the application as opposed to the date on the form or the date you post the application. I sent mine via "RM Special Delivery", tracked, needless to say so I have got proof they got it on the 4th, the last date before the fees went up. Now, you might be wondering that the fees went up on the 6th of April, officially. But, UKVI has done it in quite a sneaky way, as the 4th of April was on a Friday. I read on their website that they consider the applications received on Saturday as if they were received on the following Monday, you see where this is going!!! So, even though some peoples' applications could have been received on the 5th of April, Saturday, apparently within the "old" fee bracket, they were actually considered to have been received on the 7th,,, I hope I have made sense.
