ILR / Tier 2 Travel Restrictions

Hello,

I am currently on a TIer 2 (General) Visa which is expiring in Jan 2015 (will be renewed by employer). My company would like to send me for work overseas for the next 2 years starting around September this year. I would like to know how many days I can spend working outside the UK on my Tier 2 visa.

I would also like to know if there is a limit on the number of days allowed working outside the UK for the ILR application. I have read 180 days a year however it is not clear if this is also applicable for working overseas.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
