Question:
I'm in the UK with a Tier 2 visa and planning to get married in South Africa soon. Will my wife be granted to leave and able to work in the UK?
Description:
I know this question has been asked a few times on here, but the UKBA keeps changing their policy. We're both from South Africa and I am working in the UK on a Tier 2 (general) visa. I am planning to return to SA in about 6 months to get married, and then fly both of us over with a Visitor's Visa for her. Once we're in the UK, I plan to switch her visa type to a Tier 2 dependent. Is this possible?
Here's the second challenge:
While in South Africa, my Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) took a few months to come through and, in that time, my girlfriend and I got back together again. In my CoS I am therefore still registered as single and as a result, I had to apply for my visa as single as well, otherwise they would reject it due to inconsistency. Will I be able to change my visa once I'm married and will this influence her grant for leave? Also, will she be able to work as a Tier 2 dependent once she's there?
