People tell me because CIMA is a proffessional course, visa acquisition is kinda hard. Obviously this is scaring me a bit.The course will cost me close to 5000pnds if i dont fail any papers and last close to 2 and a half yrs. I have 5000 pnds of my own funds. A rich aunty has alwasy expressed interest in helping me out so, so lets say i get at least 2500 pnds(can be a lot more though) from her thats 7500 pnds.
When i am in london i stay with an Uncle, an accountant as well .he lives alone in quite a big house and will accommodate me for the period of my stay, shelter, food etc.
THAts my story. What will my chances be? And if you can throw in any advice i would be very glad. Thank u
And also i would like to know if CIMA qualifies for the new scheme where by the graduate can apply for an extra working year after the course .I hope study at the london school of business and Finance. thanx
You'd need to prove that the course is at least related to your previous studies. If you studied, say, sociology, and now want to do accounting, that might hurt your application.
You must also show proof that your financial support will be enough to maintain you - I'd say having support from more than 2 other people might be a little too much and might show unstable dependency on too many people - if it is your aunt, uncle and your own savings, then you must stress that they have agreed to support you, not just verbally but formally, too. My friend was supported by her father and he provided a letter and bank statements showing he had enough funds to support her
throughout the course. Accommodation - if your uncle proves he has enough space (and not that you will be sharing with your 2 cousins

) then he can write you a letter of support.
You need to make sure you show how you got your funds...how you saved up that much, for example. BTW - did you ever overstay your visa/s whilst here? Whilst that doesn't lead to automatic refusal for other visas, if you have a good immigration history, that would help you a lot, especially your WHM visa.
As for the course itself - how long is it? Other than that your application sounds ok, just show documentary evidence of your longtime interest in being an account (past studies), and financial independence.
