Tier 2 ICT -> Tier 2 ICT Dependant

Hello,

Me and my spouse are currently in UK under Tier 2 ICT visas and work in the same company. Now I'm planning to switch from my ICT visa to spouse's ICT visa (become her dependant) in order to be able to change employer. In my understanding there is no need for me to apply from my home country and I can switch within UK. Can someone please confirm this.
I also need some help in terms of switching process.
1) Do I need to involve my employer in this visa switch process? (I do not need company to sponsor me as I'm able to meet maintenance requirement myself).
2) If the answer to question 1 is negative then should I inform my employer about my intention?
3) Can I continue work for the same employer or I need to re-sign my contract/documents?

You can apply in-country.

Don't tell your present employer that you intend to leave until your application is approved by the HO, just in case there are problems with the application. They are not involved in the process. Once you become a PBS dependant you are free to take any employment (except doctor or dentist in training) and this includes continuing to work for your present employer
