New Rules - Dependant ILR

Post by karsi » Sun Apr 27, 2014 7:21 pm

Hi

I am due for my ILR in October 2015 (currently on Tier 1). My wife entered UK in 2013 and has her Tier (1) dependant valid till October 2015 i.e. same time as my Tier 1 visa. As per the rules she won't be able apply for ILR at the same time as my ILR application because she entered UK after July 2012.

My queries are:
1) Will I be able to apply for extension of my wife's dependant visa at the same time as my ILR application? If yes, what forms are relevant to the same.

2) Shall i get my wife's Tier (1) dependant renewed before April 2015 i.e. before Tier 1 extensions are stopped? Or can she apply for ILR dependant along with my ILR application.

Generally what options are available to me to get wife's dependant status extended?

Regards

1, You can apply for extension at the same time as your ILR, if its FLR(M), add a covering letter to process tha application once your application has been approved.

2. Tier 1 Dependants doesnt get affected with the new rules they are still available.

3. If you are appying for FLR(M), yes you neeed to show 18,600 and LIUK and A1 English test and may re-set 5yr time for ILR, dont need any for PBS dependant.
