Post by Alwayzhappy » Wed Apr 30, 2014 5:17 pm

Hi All,

I am T4 Student, in a University doing PhD( In Final year on PhD Thesis Writeup)
I want to get the Maximum Agreed Holiday Leave for the purpose of Traveling abroad.
Any Idea what maximum days I can go outside UK?

they are saying that an agreed holiday period is 6 weeks in a year. but i want to go more than 6 weeks ( around 8 ), and my supervisor also does not have any objection, while the immigration department of the university is making me scare for not going beyond the 6 week.

Hi Always

Since you are under t4 sponsor the university will be the ones who issue your holiday letter that you will need to present ukvi when coming in and out of uk. So you should talk to them further and try and agree for more holiday or accept the 6 weeks

They should be more flexible with this. One of my friends went on holiday for 2 months last year but his visa was expiring and he applied for an extension in his home country. This could be a work around.
