Applying FLR(M) Spouse Visa While MN1 Applications In Proces

Hello,

I recently got my indefinite visa starting from 9th April 2014 on the base of long residence 10 years.

My two sons were born in uk. On 19th April 2014, I applied for British citizenship of my sons on MN1 forms through hounslow council service. On 30th April 2014, I received the acknowledgement letter of MN1 applications. Until today, these two MN1 applications are in process.

Next week on 15th May 2014, I want to apply for the FLR (M) spouse visa of my wife as a preminum service in croydon home office centre. Because I am meeting the requirement of 18600 pounds.

My question is that while my two sons' British citizenship MN1 applicatons are in process, can I still apply for FLR (M) spouse visa of my wife? Will home office refuse this spouse visa as my sons are not british citizen yet?

Children should be British or settled to avoid additional Financial Requirement.

In other words, you are saying that I need to show the income of 24800 pounds (wife with two dependent children) although two dependent children are not applying with my wife?
Children's British citizenship application is in process.
