What constitutes a valid work permit??

Post by brownelephant » Wed May 14, 2014 11:01 am

Hi Everyone,

I have a question and was wondering if you could help.

I am from Japan and I am engaged to be married :D
We met 6 years ago in Japan and now we have moved to England.
We are looking at applying for a partner/marriage visa.

Currently, I have a 2 year working holiday visa and have a full-time job.
My partner works too but earns under 18,600 a year as do I.

Together we reach the financial requirement amount.

In the guidelines it says that we can combine incomes if
I have the right to work in this country.

Does my visa allow me to apply for a partner visa?
And if we get married here will I be eligible to stay in
the country?

Thanks for the help.
:)
