Schengen for spouse of Tier 2 employer sponsored

Post by tier2_applicant » Wed May 14, 2014 11:09 am

Hello,

I am on a employer sponsored tier 2 visa. My wife joined me around 2 months back after her spouse visa was issued in India (with validity same as me). I have been issued in the past with 3 Schengen visas and have one valid presently as well. Could someone please help me with how my wife can apply for a French Schengen visa. At the moment she does not have a bank account/ travel insurance - which can be arranged for, before applying.

Will her not having a job/payslips in the UK be a problem?

I will appreciate if someone could please advise regarding this situation.

Thanks

Usually apart of other requirements/documents the proof of current status is also required to demonstrate like studying/working/domestic worker/au pair etc. However, if the current status is inactive & married then the spouse's employer letter can work. you can see about inactive & married here.

For a complete checklist then click here.

Thanks Sheraz,

I believe what you mean is that my status in terms of employment is required/should be enough from application point of view for my wife if she is unemployed.
