Tier 4 Student visa Cap.. please help...

Hello there.
I came to UK 2008 October as a Student ( old student visa). My initial course was HNC ( Btec).
My visa was valid til 31 January 2010.
With in that time I changed the college & enrolled to a HND ( Edexcel) & that particular college issued me visa letters to extend my visa & HO grant me the visa until 31 December 2011.
I have completed my HND & enrolled with another college for BSc final year. They have issued me a CAS & the course was for 7 months. I have applied for the visa in November 2011 & HO grant me the visa til April 2012.
I have successfully completed the final stage of Bsc & applied for PSW ( HO granted PSW).
in brief
October, 2008 - November, 2011 (sponsor letters issued for HNC & HND )
November , 2011 - April, 2012 (CAS issued for BSC final year)

My question is how many years left from the cap if I need to study further ( I heard 5 years cap).

Hi surf

Then you woukd only count the visa that you was issued for your bsc for since your previouse visa was for hnc / hnd this is level 4 an 5. You would need to count only bsc towards the 5 year limit just check the enrolment/cas for start an end date and work out from that how much time you hav left.

Hi
To calculate your study time you count your course start and end dates instead of visa time.
Just course start date - course end date (Doesnt matter if were given some extra visa time).
All your courses seem degree level so count your total time and deduct it from 60 months allowed on degree level or above.
