Tier 2 General Visa Salary requirements

Post by saik » Mon May 19, 2014 3:21 pm

Hi Everyone,

I'm currently under Post study work Visa and now have an employer that is willing to sponsor me. my question really is, if this employer pays me £36000 per annum and show the same on CoS and once i get the visa and worked for this employer for a while, if i like to move to another employer who is willing to sponsor me but will only pay me like £32000 and i personally dont mind drop in my pay, now here as this pay is less than what i was earning from my first sponsorship, will my application be rejected on the basis of dropped salary or will it be fine as long as the pay meets the experienced pay cut-off set by the home office for the Job title.

does my salary always have to go up from sponsorship to sponsorship as there is a change that you don't like the current company that you are working for and want to move on to some other company even if they are paying you less than what you are already earning at 1st company?

thanks very much for all the responses.

Check the code of practice for your new job. If the new employer pays at or above the experienced salary threshold then it is fine, regardless whether it is more or less than the current job salary.
