NonEU Started Work in UK, want to travel to Spain now

I have arrived to UK this month on a ICT Tier 2 visa from India. My spouse has been working in UK on Tier 2 sponsored visa for more than a year. We plan to go to Spain on a tourist visa in July. According to Schengen visa rules, my wife can easily apply for one. Can I apply for a Spanish visa or do I have to wait for 3 months to show my bank statements? (I have also opened my bank accounts 2 days back)

Ideally I should have done the visa from India itself but considering I am now in UK, how can I get the tourist visa now?

If I am unable to apply for a visa can I show my wife to be my sponsor now even though I am working in UK?

if you are resident in uk you can apply from uk schengen visa .are you travelling together have you got a joint bank statement if you dont have your bank account that could be used too.

@toofan: We do not have a joint bank account yet but separate accounts. We have a marriage certificate but not attested. However, in the spanish VFS website, nowhere they ask for an attested marriage certificate.

In this scenario, kindly advice.
