Tier 2 (GEN New hires under £150k)

Help!

My Tier 2 VISA application was rejected due to incorrect COS (Tier 2 General migrant (Switching Immigration Category).

I am from Australia and currently on Tier 5 (Youth Mobility).

I made my application from Australia but was rejected and was told that only Tier 2 (GEN New hires under £150k) and (GEN new hires over £150k) are valid under Tier 2 (General).

I'm very confused as I cannot find any information on this category of COS.

Also I have been employed by the same company in the UK for 1 and 1/2 years and they issued the COS so seems strange that I would need to come under New hire... but as I said cannot find any information on who qualifies for this category.

If anyone has any advice or links to information regarding this COS category or has experienced the same issue I would love to hear from you.
