Partner of settled person

Post by anandvincent78 » Wed Apr 16, 2014 11:30 am

I am on a Tier 2 Visa that is valid until 13-10-2014.
My wife is on a PBS dependant visa with the same validity and which was issued on 24-10-2011.
I will be applying for ILR on the 10 years long residence category in August 2014.
What visa should my wife apply for?

Amber, thanks for the reply.
After applying for FLR(M) when can she apply for her settlement visa?

After 5 years, 2 x FLR(M) and then SET(M) or if she qualifies for SET(LR) in the interim period.

If the Financial Requirement is not met then possibly leave under FLR(FP) depending on the circumstances.

Are you sure my wife can apply for FLR (M). In the FLR(M) application form I find this
You must not use this form to make an application for an extension of stay in the following categories:
• On the 10 year Partner route under Appendix FM of the Immigration Rules. You must complete form FLR(FP).

That's a different route, if you don't meet the Financial Requirement for FLR(M) only then consider FLR(FP).
