UK Tier 2 ICT Short Term Dependent Visa

Post by sunandoghosh » Sun Jun 01, 2014 12:04 pm

Dear All,
I am from India and My employer has initiated UK Tier 2 ICT Short Term Visa (12 months assignment) for me very recently. I am supposed to go for visa interview and seek appointment at Bangalore India VFS (where I am working) soon.

My employer as a policy does not sponsor spouse/dependent travel.

I have been going through numerous posts but am not sure If i am having right inferences. Request expert knowledgeable members to kindly suggest your thoughts on below.

1. Can we of our own apply for spouse dependent visa? or is tourist visa only option.
2. Should we apply together or should the application for spouse be made later after I am issued visa and have traveled to UK.
3. She is currently working and can get sabbatical for few months (absence from work with no pay for few months). Can she travel as dependent even though she has job in India?

Pls guide with your advice as I am unable to come to any conclusion and cannot afford to delay my visa application which is employer driven.

Anticipating your replies.
Thanks in advance
Regards
sunando

Your wife can apply for a PBS dependant visa either at the same time as you or later. Once she has the visa she will be free to travel to the UK, her job in India makes no difference
