Help - UK Business Visa - Taking Family with me

Hi,

I am a Pakistani national, working in Dubai as Software Engineer in UK based company. I have to attend a training in our head office in London by mid of July.The company has provided me invitation letter which states that they will bear the cost of my whole trip. It's straight forward that I should apply Business Visa.

However, I want to take my family (wife and 9 months son) with me. Please guide how should I proceed for this? Should I separately apply their tourist visa? or when I am filling the online application for my business visa, I select YES for questions "Will your spouse/partner be travelling with you?" and "Is this child travelling with you?" - means no need for separate visa?

Also, will it make any issue that company issued invitation letter for me while I am taking family with me (off course I will bear their travelling cost)? Will it confuse Visa Officer when reviewing my application? What sort of documents should I provide to make the case stronger?

As per my limited knowledge, you will need to apply your business visa and separate applications for your wife and son as general visitor

one thing is confirm that you need to submit 3 applications i.e. one for all

you will submit relevant supporting documents with each application so as far as you have enough financial means to support your wife and son's visit i.e. your bank statement with savings and salary slips of earning

I didn't get 3 applications. I understand one for me as business visa, second for my wife as tourist visa. Which one is 3rd? Do I need to separately fill the application online for my 9 months old son as well?

yes, unless your son does not have separate passport and his entry is endorsed in mother's passport which is highly unlikely, you will be applying same visa for him as his mother's i.e. general visit visa
