mistake date on tier-4

Post by chatashona » Sat May 24, 2014 6:16 pm

hi
i have submitted my online tier-4 application form to UKBA. on the topic where it says
*entry clearance date : 15-02-2005 (which is correct)
next it says
*current visa expiry date- : 30- 06-2008 (i made a mistake by putting the entry clearance visa expiry date.)

i done the application very carefully ; but managed to do this silly stupid mistake. i did not read the whole line before putting that date.. i just saw 'expiry date' and i put the wrong date.

there was another date of biometric that i put the right current visa expiry date that is : 31-05-2014.

i realized the mistake after i printed the form and went through it the second time..
now i am panicking about it of what is going to happen? is there any chance of fixing this mistake? and what is going to happen to my application? please need advice.

Hi
Dont panic. Its not just you, many ppl make same or similar mistakes.
You cannot amend the online application once submitted. I know a person who made few mistakes similar to you. Then he just over written at paper application and attached a cover letter explaining the reason of cutting. He has received hi visa with no problem at all.
So I would suggest you to amend at paper copy before you send it to UKVI and explain it in a cover letter.

If you have already sent the application then best thing is to send HO a cover letter before they make any decision on you application. As I already have mentioned in post, its not just you who made mistakes in applications so dont worry but update HO.

I have rechecked and found more then 5 - 6 major mistakes in my application apart from writing wrong dates and name, he has also not mentioned about previous refusal ? All done by representative,
i havn`t sent the documents yet ?
What is the best way, shall i send the covering letter with the application form mentioning the errors ?
My application was submitted online, the mistakes are so many that only covering letter is not enough, Please advice do I have to send the complete tier 4 application form again explaining mistakes in covering letter along with the documents and with the summary sheet of online application submission and payment ?

Please Advice
Many Thanks

Hi Searoze, Thanks for sharing your friends experience, which paper application he has over written ? the one which was submitted online ? And At which point he has sent the application, while sending the summary sheet ? or after receiving any confirmation or acknowledgement ?,

Will appreciate your early reply.
Many thanks

I have sent the documents with covering letter explaining all errors done by my solicitor firm, as the mistakes are soo many....... that incase, if they return my application as an invalid, i am still in 28 days of not being overstay ,

My question is do i need to get a new cas ? or i can use the same cas again ?

Experts and gurus please advice me in this matter , so i get prepared in advance .

I dont think your application will be invalid due to errors. But if any thing happens you can put new application using same CAS.
