Letter of invitation for someone who wants to study in UK

This is concerning a friend from Uzbekistan who wishes to study in the UK. How do I go about this ? I tried to call the Embassy today (10am - 1pm ) last Friday but no answer which I thought was odd

What basically do I need to do ? I hope it does'nt cost anything

You dont need any invitation letter from UK but a CAS letter from the institute you want to study.

Hmm not that much but yes about £4000 it seems for a year I think. my friend says USA is far cheaper, is it really ?

Thanks very much, not me as I say who wishes to study but the problem trying to find a reasonably priced course but I think it is impossible in rip off Britain

Yeah if you want end up in some dodgy 'college' that will disappear in five minutes leaving everyone with no status, but even as an aside the maintenance needed to show is about £5 pa..

We paid 10k year one, 21k year two and we've had zero visa issues, (this was 10 years ago mind) - there are a lot a shysters about and they all have the same USP - plenty cheapness, much doing the needful....
