Family Visit Visa(6 months) - Online application

Post by techguy007 » Fri Jun 06, 2014 5:39 pm

Dear all,

Can you kindly assist me in answering the following questions stated in the online application visa.

We plan to get a short term(6 months) family visa for my father in law from china. Below are the set of questions found in the online application that i need some assistance.

1) Do you have savings, Properties or other income. State monthly amount is £. - Father in law has his own property but he is living in the property and has not rented out. He has a quite a large amount of savings. So can we mention the interest he gets from that savings?

2) Cost to you personally for the trip? What does this mean? Accommodation and food is free as he is staying with us. Even if he travel he will travel with us but most of the time he will be staying at home with our son. He will be buying a return air ticket. So will that be the only cost for him? Any approx amount we should state in the application?

3) Cost of living expenses - Since he will be staying with us(5 and half months) he will not have any accommodation or food expenses. So what expenses we should mention and how much?

4)Is someone paying ? How should we calculate this amount ?

5) Total amount of money you have for this trip - He will be staying with us for 5 and half months. Is £6000 sufficient?
Does he have to bring that amount when he comes to uk?

Thanks a lot
