Naturalisation while current Indian Passport is Expired

Hello Moderator,

I think have all requirement satisfying the Naturalisation criteria. But my current Indian Passport is expired on April 24th 2014 and I haven't applied for an extension yet. I have been stuck with the my new born baby and the house move. Anyway I am now ready to apply for the BC. Please suggest me if I can apply using my Expired Indian Passport? I have ILR on a separate Bio Metric CARD which I got it in May 2013.

A) Apply for an extension for Indian Passport and then apply for BC.
B) Apply for a BC with the Expired Indian Passport.

Also I would like to apply for OCI for India, will the Indian embassy accept the expired Passport for OCI application or do I need to have a valid passport.

You help and advice will be of a great help to me. Thanks a lot.

Basically HO wants to see your passport in order to determine the number of days absent among other things.
How many days have you been absent in the last year and in the last 5 years?

A lot of us don't hve passports stamped, either here, or in the rest of Europe.

Last year after I got my ILR I am 0 days out of this country. And in last 5 years I am away from the country for not more than 250 days.

If you are employed your employer can state that you were working for the last month and half.
Also as its been roughly 45 days since you lost your passport even if you were absent all t you would fit into category of 450 absences in the last 5 years and 90 in the final years being allowed.
