Post by bhupendraP » Sun Jun 01, 2014 11:27 pm

I am getting married in India, its an arranged marriage so we dont have much contact. I can provide all the other documents but for Skype, email, telephone conversation records. I am expecting her to join me in August 2014. Do you think i need
to wait for few more months are applying in mid August should be enough time to prove its a subsisting marriage?
Are these documents the complete list ? or am i missing something?

Partners Passport
2 Photos 35x45 ( UK specifications)
Bank Statements / FD’s
appointment letter and 6 month salary slips
Lease agreement copy for proof of accommodation
Copy of my passport ( all pages )
Copy of ILR letter and ILR card
Skype,email, telephone conversation records

I'm sure the rule says you must have met but I guess they understand arranged marriage.if what you're saying is that you haven't got contact like mails and means of communication, I will suggest you start doing it now till August, you can then explain the reason why you haven't been able to supply 6 months contact stuff.
I don't know how tenable this argument will be but if you ain't getting married the same day, then you have technically met the person, haven't you?BT I reckon you can still build some communication b4 then,
Pls note, don't use call card for phone stuff, you need something that will show your call logs and can be printed.

Has your fiancee passed the A1 English test or does she have a degree taught in English?
(Casa, not CR001)
Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

What do you mean by appointment letter? For employment you need to provide: a contract and employment letter which must state length of employment, annual salary and how long you have been earning it and contract type.
You also need a letter of consent to your spouse moving into your accommodation and ideally a council tax bill.

With regards to arranged marriage, I would assume the country your spouse is applying from will be familiar with this and will consider it accordingly. However, it will indeed strengthen your application to wait a few months. Also each of you should write supporting letters and make it clear that you have both consented to an arranged marriage.
