Tier 2 VISA - Clarification on SMS received

Hi Gurus,
I have submitted Tier 2 visa application on 30th of May at VFS bangalore and on the same day got one SMS saying that"your visa application no :GWFXXXXXXX has been dispatched to UKVI Decision making center Bangalore".

After few days on 3rd I got 6 email saying the same content "your visa application no :GWFXXXXXXX has been dispatched to UKVI Decision making center Bangalore"

Now today on 10th June got one more SMS that "your visa application no :GWFXXXXXXX was received at UK Visa Application Center on 10th June 2014. It was collected by our courier partner on 6/10/2014 and will be delivered to the Choosen address"

I am confused now. First it was dispatched to UKVI decision Making center Bangalore" and now it has been received by UK Visa Application center.

Does this mean that decision has been taken (though I have not received any email on decision) and the choosen address mentioned in SMS is the address which I filled for return of passport?

Please advise and its making me confused also let me know if some one has received such kind of SMS.

The First sms is about sending your application to UKVI team which inturn goes to British High Commission Chennai.
The last message on 10th is about Decision has been made and your docs were returned back to VFS bangalore which inturn handed over to Courier team to deliver it to your address.
You won't be receiving any email about the decision made by UKBA and you can only check once you receive the passport with Visa stamp on it.

Also you can track the courier through Blue dart website by providing ref no as your GWFXXXXX.

I was wondering there were few post in this community where applicant has received an email stating the below:

" Dear Applicant,
Your UK visa application has now been processed and a decision has been made.
Your passport and documents will be dispatched from the Bangalore office and will be returned to you via VFS"


I did not receive any such email.

Just to reconfirm, is this the process followed? I mean I would not get any email regarding decision on my application and the SMS I received today confirms that decision has been taken... right?

I have tried tracking the application in blue dart portal but no its says "not a valid number"

Curious to get a answer on this.

Yes, It depends on what you have opted for while making an applicaiton through VFS. If you opted for both email & txt alerts then you will get the same info in both formats ,Looks like you are only getting Txt alerts..
That is fine. You will receive your passport soon.
Check the Bluedart website after a day as it usually takes a day to get update and your passport will be delivered in 2-3 days time..you can track it online.

Now I can track my application number in Blue dart portal.

It shows :

Status : In Transit Await Delivery information
From : Chennai
To : Bangalore
Expected date of delivery : 11 June 2014


Hoping that I will get the courier by tomorrow.

Since It has been already dispatched from chennai to bangalore, I hope decision has been taken on my application because i have not got any sms or mail of decision?

I was wondering whether it will come to address which i filled during VISA application or it will first go to VFS Bangalore or then they will dispatch to my address. Address to which shipment will be sent is not mentioned in blue dart site.

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cool, thats good to see you can track it now.
It depends on what you have chosen while submitting application to VFS. If you choose delivery to your address it will be directly sent to you ,
otherwise you need to go to VFS to collect it upon receiving email from them.

Yes, I have paid 300 Rs for courier charges to door delivery.

Are you sure that decision has been taken on my application and that's why I am able track my application number on blue dart portal?
Also the courier will have my passport and other documents that I have submitted to deliver to me only not for any official use? right?

Yes, You will get the Passport and other docs delivered to your address .
Also this will happen only after UKBA makes decision on your application and which you can verify upon receiving the docs.

I have got my visa in 9 working days after document submission.

I have applied under normal visa as VFS confirmed that Priority VISA is not applicable for Tier 2 General Migrant.

till now i have not got any sms....Can any one let me know wats going on with my application.

I have submitted my Passport & other documents from chandigarh vfs on 10th dec .After that, on same day i have received only 1 SMS stating that "The visa application for GWFXXXXXXXXX was forwarded to UKVI on 21/10/2015".

Also they call us for verifictaion on 21 dec. But till now i have not got any sms.
