renew of indian passport and no portugal national letter

my husband is portugal citizen and reside in uk.
my self and my son is indian citizen.my son is 14 years old.wer are in uk.
now,my son apply to renew his indian passport .so i contact indian high commission in london.but they need letter about that my son have no portugal nationality. so i contact portugal embassy in london but they not issue this type of letter.
so any one help me how to obtain this letter.
please someone help me.
any person who had this type of problem and solve it.

You can submit a letter written and signed by both parents that the child does not hold any other nationality. You have to then get this signed by a solicitor.

This was a requirement even when both parents were Indian but resident in the UK in CGI Edinburgh. If you search the forum, there are ppl who have successfully done this.
