According to the UKCISA's guidelines if you have completed at least 6 months of the course then applied to change the course or the sponsor then whatever you have achieved in that 6 months that can shown as progression. You can take the course completion letter for your current course and submit it with your application.fraise8 wrote:Hi all!
I need your advice on a simple thing. I came to UK in Sept 2013 to do my MSc, which is due to be completed by October 2014 (I am due to submit my dissertation by 18 Sept, and get my result by End of October). Now, In the meantime, I have applied to another masters course at another university .. which starts in this September, and I have got unconditional offer from University.. because I got it on my previous degree rather than this MSc. Now I will have to apply for a new TIER4 Visa from UK for this new course by August so that I can obtain it before the new classes start.
I want to know that the CAS I will get, might not have this MSc indicated on it, as I have been given unconditional offer based on my previous undergraduate degree. SO will UKBA require the proof of completion of current course ? I am worried because my result will be out around Oct/November, but I have to apply for new visa in August...
Please update me if I should be worried on this ?
I have another question here. The letter which I will get from University will state that the student will complete the course by October.. i.e obviously when I will get my final result for dissertation. So, in this case while I will be applying for the new TIER4 in August on basis of this letter, will I be considered to have a established presence or not ? Although I have completed more than 6 months of my course (infact 9 and I have transcripts of that), I am only waiting for result of my dissertation, but the overall course still wont be in a way "complete". is that correct ?According to the UKCISA's guidelines if you have completed at least 6 months of the course then applied to change the course or the sponsor then whatever you have achieved in that 6 months that can shown as progression. You can take the course completion letter for your current course and submit it with your application.
Although your new university accepted you based on your bachelor's degree but they still have to justify why they are accepting you on the same level course at UKVI's SMS system. So they will need your course completion letter as well.
