Schengen Visa

Post by darat » Wed Jun 04, 2014 11:17 am

I have applied for Schengen Visa at the Spain Consulate in Edinburgh since 2 weeks ago, but now I have not got my passport back. At the application date, the official noted that my main destination is Germany since I will be in Germany for 4 days, on 19-20 June and 28-29 June. (I will be in Spain for 3 days, on 17-19 June, but it is the first country that I entry into the Schengen countries). So, I'm afraid that there may be any problems about my application. I tried to contact via email but no answer. I'm very worry about that because my travel date is on 17 June. I'm afraid that I may miss the trip. Can anyone suggest me how should I do? Thank you.

Thank you for your respond.
My nationality is Thai.
Today, I went to Spain Consulate in Edinburgh to ask about my application. The official just answer me that "You need to wait. The consul have not made any decision."
Thank you

- I wonder if Darat has a UK spouse, in that case the visa should have been free, issued within 15 days and with minimal docs (show family relations, passports of both partners, something that shows you will be traveling to an other EU country together).

- How long it took to process the visa, by default it should be processed within 15 days, in individual cases this might be extended to 30 days and in exceptional cases to 60 days. So usually you could expect a decision in about a week.. (depending on how busy and how well or ill staffed the consulate/embassy is).
