I have just been granted 2.5 years permit as a parent of British child. Thank you
Right so think this way .convenantkeepingGod wrote:Yes you are. Even when I was illegal I was working ( please dont ask me how), not as I was now but I wasn't just sitting in the house. The reason why I asked about the benefits it is because I m currently dealing with some issues and have been signed off work. Dont make it sound as if my aim is just benefits, ukvi will not just change your conditions of stay if there is no merits.I have all the medical papers to show my current condition and my inability to work. so dont try to read between the lines. I'm not much worried about me. But this is another story. And to be honest I'm contemplating different from doing it .But let me be clear so that you wont miss anything God forbids but if im in a place where my child and I are struggling I will gladly wants benefits as you put it because he is also british and have the right to enjoy as other british children. God forbids us getting to this point. Thank you for reading. I hope you will never be in place in your life where you have to claim benefits for whatever reasons.
First of all big congratulation for your stay. After 20 years need to wait another 10 years for ILR so total 30 years for ILR. Its ridiculous what can we do? nothing its their law. As @zeeali rightly said, if you run behind the benefit you will be trouble in future for your visa extension, so stick in the rules and work hard, you lucky you got a stay, we people begging for this stay to home office. All the best.convenantkeepingGod wrote:Well Zee Ali you are not in my shoe. :you know the beauty about being legal ... you have rights and let me tell you a secret ......you dont have to suffer in silence as if you were still an illegal. Isnt that beautiful ?
Oh dear! you should be glad that I don't want the whole apple tree![]()
please dont stop posting your comments and analysis on how to run my life. It bumps my topic on top of the index.

U will carry on with your life as before (working illegaly).
U should be thankful to GOD and HO that they legalize your stay in this country.
If i am in your shoe i will never do that.
Someone gives u a piece of apple but u want to grab whole apple.
