Experts please advice I have to take a decision soon on this.Kumar0018 wrote:Hi, I am on Tier to General visa in UK and my current employer in UK want me to send to outside of UK to their subsidiary company for about 3 months for project work. So it will be a business trip and my salary will continue to come in UK.
My question is there a cap or maximum duration as per UKBA guidelines for which you can be outside of UK while on Tier 2 general. When I will enter back to UK will this cause any problem that why you are out of UK for about 3 months? Or in this case also the rule of business visa (max 4 weeks) applies? Another thing to note that I hold the passport of the company I am going so no business visa is required.
Thanks in Advance.
Thanks for inputs, does the payroll has to be in UK only during absence or even payroll can be transferred to home county.Amber_ wrote:Absences should not exceed 180 days per 12 month period.
Great, the current situation is that my employer is sending me to my home county and keep payroll in UK for 3 months as I was hired in UK. So when I will re-enter UK after 3 months, I am hoping at border I will not be questioned that why you were out for 3 months and your payroll is in UK or do I need to carry any supporting document from employer explaining the reason.Amber_ wrote:Don't think that matters, your employer should write you a letter explaining the absence for when you come to apply for ILR.
