Thanks Manci
I recieved this reply from home office , so i can prorate, but if my hrs are changed to 40 and i be at 27 K will that suffice or do i need to prove with this letter?
"Yes.
----------------------------------------------------------
Does that mean that If as per soc my salary is 27000 for 40 hrs , I can prorate by (27000/40)*37.5 ?
I work a 37.5 hr week.
Kind Regards

Your query has been passed to me by the MAC.
The minimum salary rate in the codes of practice for SOC code 2119 is based on a 40-hour week. If you are contracted to work a different number of weekly hours, you should pro-rata the rate accordingly.
Regards,
Hi
I am currently on Tier 2 general visa, I have a query with regards to source of salary.
“
The rates are based on a 39-hour working week for all occupations where the salary source used is the Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings.
Where other salary sources are used, please note that the rates are based on the following weekly hours:
• Where the source is NHS Agenda for Change or the Royal Institute of British Architects, a 37.5-hour week;
5
• Where the source is teachers‟ national pay scales, the definition of a full-time teacher is used when determining those pay scales;
• Where the source is the National Grid submission to the Migration Advisory Committee, a 37-hour week;
• In all other cases, a 40-hour week. “
My SOC code is 2119 , my question is regarding hours and would be grateful if you could advice if I can show 40 hrs per week?
As the source is not in the above?
