Notice Period Tier 2

Hi

I am changing my company. The new company have sponsored the tier 2visa. I will join the new job on 8 july and i resigned my present company on 8 june, leaving 1 month for notice period. In my application, I mentioned the joining date as 8 july but today I got my permit saying the date of issue as 8 June. Any idea, does your old visa becomes invalid once new starts? How do I serve the notice period in such a case?
