Questions about my permanent resident card

Hello,

I have a permanent reside card in the UK, but I haven't been living in the Uk for a while now. It will expire if I don't visit the UK by the 15th of August. How long do I have to stay in the Uk to activate it?

Also, when can I apply for citizenship? Thanks so much

Also, in order to qualify for British Citizenship you can't be absent for more than 90 days in the 12 months prior to submitting the application.

Thanks a lot for the replies. I have been gone for 2 years now. I am going to return in a month. Will I face any problem at the immigration when I return?

I can't settle down in the UK right now? can I not visit the UK every year and keep my status active?

is there any official rule which says that I can visit for a week and then stay in another country or does this all depend on the immigration officer?
