Original Marksheet and BTech Degree Submitted at Visa Center

Hi ,

Need your expert opinion on this , at Visa Interview of Tier 2 ICT Short Visa for UK , the Visa Center counter lady asked to submit my original :-
1. 10th & 12th marksheet and pass certificate.
2. my BTech's 4 year marksheet and degree.

Since she asked for it i submitted it to her but when I came to my office some of the people who have earlier traveled to UK told me that originals are not submitted.

This made me very confused and scared , please help weather this will an issue.

Can one please reply to this weather these documents are needed to be submitted at Visa Center (VFS New Delhi)...
